In a recurring episode of "What Might Have Been," a defensive-minded center the Warriors courted in the offseason played at Oracle Arena in an opponent's jersey Wednesday night.

Just three days after Clippers big man DeAndre Jordan swatted eight shots on Christmas, Tyson Chandler and the New York Knicks played the Warriors. Golden State went after Jordan only after they made a serious run at signing Chandler.

"I was very close to signing with the Warriors," said Chandler, who had two points, three rebounds, two assists and five personal fouls in 22 minutes. "The Warriors were pretty much my first option the entire summer. The New York thing came around at the last minute, and it was a situation I couldn't pass up."

Chandler has known Warriors assistant coach Jerry DeGregorio his whole life, worked with assistant coach Pete Myers his first five seasons in Chicago and ran into head coach Mark Jackson a number of times the past several summers in Southern California.
