"All-Star second baseman Ian Kinsler probably will bat sixth Friday against the Twins in his first game since July 27. He was activated from the disabled list Wednesday, along with infielder Cristian Guzman, and was available to pinch hit against Kansas City.

Kinsler went 2-for-10 with a triple and three RBIs in three games for Double-A Frisco while on medical rehabilitation assignment. He said his strained left groin passed every test.
