"The Rangers' minor-league affiliates figure to be busy this week.

Second baseman Ian Kinsler, outfielder Nelson Cruz , infielder Cristian Guzman and right-hander Dustin Nippert could begin rehab assignments in their bids to return from the disabled list.

Kinsler, who has been out since July 29 with a left groin strain, is scheduled to have an MRI today. He said his groin felt great and he's hoping to begin his rehab assignment as soon as possible.

"If I'm clear to play, I'm going to go right away," said Kinsler, who still hasn't taken batting practice. "I will take BP there. I'll take it one day at a time, and when I feel like I'm ready, I'm ready to go. But I want to make this as quick as possible." "
