"Chicago Cubs right-handed pitcher Kerry Wood, who is eligible to come off the disabled list, will test the blister on his right index finger with a simulated game on Wednesday.

Wood, who was placed on the DL retroactive to June 9, threw a 35-pitch bullpen session on Monday.
