"Revis Island apparently isn't the only place Chad Ochocinco has trouble operating.
According to Kerry Rhodes, the Bengals receiver doesn't enjoy running across the middle, especially after taking a big hit like he did from the Jets safety on Sunday.
"You want to put a hit on every receiver coming across the middle," Rhodes said Tuesday. "But he's a guy that he doesn't like to come in between those numbers (on the field). The majority of his catches go vertical or they're outside, so when he comes across there, you want to catch him."
Ochocinco has toned down his act this week as far as the trash-talking. But he took exception to Rhodes' assertion that he does not like going across the middle and getting hit.
"I'm not sure where Kerry gets that from," Ochocinco said of his friend Rhodes. "I've been getting smacked all year long. I don't know if he has seen the highlights. It makes no sense at all."
During the Jets' 37-0 blowout over the Bengals on Sunday, Darrelle Revis held Ochocinco without a reception before the receiver left the game after halftime with a knee injury. Ochocinco was targeted four times. On one play, Ochocinco had a step on Revis only to see the ball skim off his fingers before he was popped by Rhodes."
