Kent State starting center Jason Bitsko died Wednesday from an undetermined medical issue, the university announced.

Bitsko, 21, a fourth year junior who started all 12 games last season, was found unresponsive in the bedroom of his off-campus apartment before 9 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to a statement from Kent State.

“Kent State University and the entire Kent community mourns his passing,” Ken State AD Joel Nielsen said. “We are heartbroken by the news of Jason’s death. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, teammates and everyone whose lives he touched.”
