Kenny Phillips is still sitting out of practice during the Eagles’ organized team activities, according to multiple league sources.

Phillips, a sixth-year veteran who has battled knee injuries throughout his career, is resting the left knee that was repaired in 2009 through microfracture surgery. He isn’t likely to practice Friday.

But the 26-year-old former Giants safety is expected to participate in the team’s final camp, a June 4-6 mandatory camp that will wrap up the first spring season under new coach Chip Kelly, according to a source close to Phillips.

Phillips, a 2008 first-round pick, missed nine games last year with a right knee injury, but the safety said Tuesday through a team spokesperson that his absence in the recent OTA was precautionary and one source close to Phillips said he was fine.
