"Blackhawks forwards Patrick Sharp and Patrick Kane have been named to participate in the NHL All-Star Game, the league said Tuesday.
Center Jonathan Toews and defenseman Duncan Keith previously were voted into the All-Star Game in balloting by fans.
"I'm very excited," said Sharp, who will be making his first All-Star appearance. "It's a huge honor. I'm proud to go represent the Blackhawks. If you look around our room, a lot of guys should be going so it's an honor that I've been chosen. It's always nice to be rewarded for this kind of individual accomplishment. I'll enjoy that weekend and then get back to work."
Said Kane, who will make his second All-Star appearance: "It's an honor to go. When you get that call, for me it was really exciting to hear your name that you're going to be going with the best players in the world. Especially for the kind of year I've had so far. It hasn't been the greatest start in the world, but it's still exciting and it means a lot to be elected in.""
