Kane says pressure is on Canucks in Game 7

"Patrick Kane vividly remembers the last time he played in Game 7 of a postseason series. Dave Bolland is a little less clear on the matter.

"It was in the OHL," Kane said of an Ontario Hockey League showdown when he was playing for the London Knights. "We were actually up 3-0 on the Soo Greyhounds, and they came back 3-3 and we ended up winning at home. It was a pretty fun game to be a part of."

And Bolland?

"I think maybe last season," he said.

When informed the Hawks weren't involved in a Game 7 during their run to the 2010 Stanley Cup, Bolland tried again.

"Two years ago?"

Nope.

No matter. Bolland, Kane and the rest of the Hawks will form a new Game 7 memory when they face off against the Canucks on Tuesday night in the Western Conference quarterfinal series finale in Vancouver. It will mark the first time the Hawks have played in a Game 7 since defeating the Maple Leafs 5-2 in the conference quarterfinals May 19, 1995.

A victory by the Hawks would make them just the fourth team in NHL history to rally from a 3-0 deficit in a seven-game series. It would also send the Canucks, who topped the league with 117 points, to an improbable end to their season.

"I still feel all the pressure's on them," Kane said. "They're the ones who were up 3-0, they're the first seed in the West, they were kind of predicted to win the Cup this year and go really far."

Having won the Presidents' Trophy, the Canucks have home-ice advantage throughout the playoffs and hope to take advantage of it.

"We worked hard all year long, 82 games, to get home-ice advantage, and we have home ice in Game 7," Canucks coach Alain Vigneault said. "It's down to one game, and we're going to play real hard."

Playing in front of what should be a frenzied Rogers Arena crowd isn't likely to deter the Hawks, who skated to a 5-0 victory on the Canucks' home ice in Game 5 last Thursday night to stave off elimination."
