Never one to embellish or hype, Marlins pitcher Josh Johnson had a short, efficient answer that matched his second start of the spring.

"Bascially great. I felt good out there," Johnson said after going 2 1/3 innings Saturday against St. Louis at Roger Dean Stadium, allowing one hit, while striking out three and walking two. He threw 52 pitches, 32 for strikes.

"He is pain free and he looked pretty good," Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen said.

The negatives for Johnson were the walks and the deep counts on a handful of batters. "The two walks upset me pretty bad," Johnson said.
