"Jordan Hill and Jared Jeffries, two pieces of last season's Tracy McGrady trade, returned to the Garden on Sunday, with Hill scoring six points in 16:22, but Jeffries sitting out for the sixth time in nine games.
Hill, getting some of his minutes because of Yao Ming's absence and reduced workload after missing all of last season with a fractured foot, said Sunday he still feels a bit like a rookie because of his limited playing time (averaging 10 1/2 minutes in 24 games) before he got traded.
He also understands why the Knicks reluctantly traded him at the Rockets' insistence, saying, "They thought LeBron was going to come to the Knicks and win a championship, so they had to do what they had to do.""
