"Only a handful of Eagles have appeared in the police blotter during Andy Reid's career as head coach, which is entering its 13th season.

Reid often points out his classy locker room environment when asked about his team's decade-long success.

But so far during the lockout, his team hasn't avoided trouble altogether.

On early Sunday morning, reserve linebacker Akeem Jordan was arrested for misdemeanor assault and battery in his hometown of Harrisonburg, Va., after an incident in the parking lot of a local restaurant, according to Harrisonburg police.

Jordan, who is from Harrisonburg and attended college there at James Madison, was released on his own recognizance.

"They were in a verbal altercation that led to a physical disorderly (conduct)" police spokesperson Mary-Hope Vass said. "The victim went on his own to the magistrate to get a warrant."

Vass said the victim reported the incident to police around 2 p.m. Sunday -- almost 12 hours after it took place -- and that injuries sustained by the victim "don't appear to be life-threatening by any means."

She wasn't sure why the victim waited half a day to report the incident. After being contacted by police, the 25-year-old Jordan turned himself in, Vass added.

Jordan has a court date set for July 12.

"That's the last guy you would expect in an incident, but without saying too much I'm pretty confident there are two sides to this story," Jordan's agent, Dr. Lynn Lashbrook, said Tuesday."
