"After battling a meniscus tear in his right knee for the better part of the past three months, Chipper Jones suffered a scare with his surgically-repaired left knee on Sunday afternoon.

Jones jammed his knee hitting the first base bag running out a groundball in the eighth inning on Sunday afternoon against the Cubs. It was the same knee Jones had surgery on for a torn anterior cruciate ligament, forcing him to miss the last two months of the 2010 season.

Jones was out of the lineup on Monday night against the Giants, but he believes now it was just a scare. Jones had an MRI Monday afternoon which came back clean. His knee is structurally sound and he hopes to be back in the lineup in a day or so."
