Jones' 2 homers lift Sox

"Facing Javy Vazquez was the best remedy for Andruw Jones after missing Friday night's game because of back spasms.

Jones continued his dominance of the former White Sox pitcher with two home runs Saturday to fuel the offense in a 7-6 victory over the Yankees.

Vazquez, who was traded after an underachieving three-year stint with the Sox (2006-08), was booed after failing to get an out in the fourth inning and seeing his ERA swell to 9.78.

For Jones, the two homers increased his career total against Vazquez to seven in 53 at-bats.

"When you face a pitcher so many times, you get comfortable," Jones said. "If he lets you get comfortable, it's your advantage. He never made me uncomfortable. I was on his fastball, and I was on his curveball. When you start feeling like that at the beginning of the game, that's a big plus for you.''"
