Lacazette has been one of the most prolific strikers in the French top flight over the last two seasons and has reportedly attracted a lot of attention.

The 25-year-old won the golden boot in the 2014/15 campaign and followed that up with a respectable 21 goals in 34 appearances last term in Ligue 1.

Arsene Wenger has reportedly already made an offer in the region of £33m for the striker which Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has knocked back.

However, according to Lyon's local newspaper Le Progres, the Gunners are preparing an improved offer of £42m for the Frenchman.
