"The Detroit Pistons say they are ready to put the past behind them.
They will have to do that quickly with the Los Angeles Lakers coming to town tonight.
The Pistons went 2-2 on the West Coast trip -- their longest road trip of the season - that ended with them almost rallying from a 32-point deficit Monday night to beat the Golden State Warriors.
That game also saw the latest flareup between Pistons coach John Kuester and one of his players when he and Tayshaun Prince went at it on the sidelines during a timeout in the second quarter.
"Us being down 30 in the second quarter, I was disappointed," Prince said today after the morning shootaround. "The way he handled the situation after the game was great. Obviously, it was one of those situations you don't want to happen on the court, but it was one of those heat of the moment type things where nothing was going our way."
Prince compared his response to Kuester at the time to responding emotionally to a bad call on the court by a referee.
"Sometimes it might warrant you a technical foul, sometimes it might not," Prince said. "Mine was probably a technical foul."
Kuester said after the game that he liked the passion Prince showed during the exchange and how he played in the second half of that game."
