The Twins were able to keep the Astros offense quiet while their own offense was led by someone pretending to be Joe Mauer, because we all know Mauer doesn't hit home runs, right?

This year, Kyle Gibson has either been really, really good, or he's been awful. Today was an example of the former as he allowed only one run in 7 2/3 innings as the Twins beat the Astros 3-1.

There wasn't much that was flashy about Gibson, but he was able to navigate out of threats throughout the game. There were four times in the game that the Astros were able to get two runners on with less than two outs, and the first three times Gibson was able to keep them scoreless. However, he did give up a run in the 8th when Chris Carter was able to bloop an RBI single into left field, but other than that, Houston was unable to touch him.
