"As his team sits at 3-12 going into this weekend's two-game home stand, Pistons president of basketball operations Joe Dumars gave two recent lengthy interviews to discuss the state of the franchise.

His comments reveal that the Pistons are focused on the long-term and are not interested in doing anything this season just to get a few more victories.

Dumars told Keith Langlois of Pistons.com: "What you can't do is allow any part of the season to force you to start thinking small. You always have to look at the big picture -- where you're going as a team, where you want to go as a team and how you're going to get there."
