It's rare when a manager can name, on the same day, his starting lineup for the first exhibition game and also for Opening Day.

But that's what Tigers manager Jim Leyland did Thursday.

Saying it's not etched in stone because the Tigers could face a left-hander instead, Leyland said his lineup against a right-hander for Opening Day on April 1 in Minnesota, as matters stand now — with all players being as healthy then as they are now, in other words — will be as follows:

1. Austin Jackson, CF

2. Torii Hunter, RF

3. Miguel Cabrera, 3B

4. Prince Fielder, 1B

5. Victor Martinez, DH

6. Andy Dirks, LF

7. Jhonny Peralta, SS

8. Alex Avila, C

9. Omar Infante, 2B

Leyland said he can't yet project his starting lineup against a left-hander, because he's not yet committed to starting Dirks in left against lefties..
