"Jets receiver Braylon Edwards was involved in a minor car accident early this morning, according to a report by the Detroit Free Press.

Edwards lost control of his 2011 Audi at 3:40 a.m., and struck a pylon, police told the newspaper. He was not ticketed or arrested and alcohol did not appear to be a factor, according to the report.

Neither he nor the male passenger in his car were injured, the report said.
