"Jets wide receivers Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring) and Brad Smith (quad) each won't play for the second week in a row, coach Rex Ryan said Friday morning.

Cotchery, whom Ryan had hoped would play, will shut it down with the hope of being 100 percent next week against the Dolphins. David Clowney will replace him in the starting lineup.

"We think it's best he stays here and rehab and we get him 100 percent for next week," said Ryan. "We don't want this to be a thing that happens all the time."

Ryan said Smith has been slow to heal and there's a chance he could be out next week as well."
