"Jets vice president of college scouting Joey Clinkscales is no longer in the running for the St. Louis Rams general manager job, a person with knowledge of his standing said today. That person requested anonymity because the team has not announced its finalists.

Clinkscales was among a list of candidates who initially interviewed for the job last month after Billy Devaney was fired. The Rams are reportedly now whittling down their search to two or three finalists to home in on making a hire."
