A year ago, the New York Jets' top draft pick -- Dee Milliner -- showed up a few days late for training camp because of a contract dispute. They won't have that problem this season, as first-round pick Calvin Pryor finalized his contract Monday.

Pryor signed the standard four-year contract, plus a fifth-year team option. Based on the rookie slotting system, his entire deal is worth $8.56 million, fully guaranteed. It includes a signing bonus of about $4.5 million.

That the two sides were able to avoid a repeat of last summer is important, because Pryor is expected to be a Week 1 starter at safety.
