From getting dehydrated to getting arrested from leaving yesterday’s practice with migraine headaches to going on a Twitter rant afterward Joe McKnight is a never-ending source of drama for the Jets.

Despite his evident talent McKnight’s inability to stay on the field has become worrisome for head coach Rex Ryan and running backs coach Anthony Lynn.

“We’ll see how everything plays out” Ryan said. “There’s still a long way to go before we make the final decisions. But we know Joe McKnight: He’s led the league in kick returns he has plenty of talent. But durability there is a concern about durability.’’

McKnight struggled to even make it to the practice field yesterday and made it through less than half of practice. After diving for a pass in one-on-one drills he got up gingerly and was escorted off by trainers. McKnight declined print interview requests but apparently was suffering from headaches.

“He needs to be on the field like all these guys. They need reps to go out and execute” Lynn said. “He needs some reps so he’s going to be behind a bit. But it’s his fourth year he’s a pro I think he’ll catch up fast.’’

McKnight whose vomiting during minicamp as a rookie in 2010 was chronicled by HBO’s “Hard Knocks” failed his conditioning test and had a traffic arrest before this training camp.

“Situations happen. These are young men and some things come up. There’s nobody that’s perfect” Ryan said with a shrug.
