The Jets new coordinators, Marty Mornhinweg, Dennis Thurman, and Ben Kotwica, will meet with the media early next week. In the meantime, they've made some preliminary comments over at the team's web site.

Here's the best of the short segments with each of the three...

From Thurman, when asked about the question mark at the safety position (LaRon Landry and Yeremiah Bell are free agents) and whether Antonio Allen and Josh Bush have improved enough to start:

"I don't know that they'll improve enough to start but they have to improve," Thurman said.
"Every man on our team has to improve if we're going to get better. It's no different than any other year. You want your guys to get better."

Thurman, who didn't delve much into the Darrelle Revis situation, also said that he hasn't hashed out the play-calling duties with Rex Ryan yet. He doesn't seem to have a problem if things remain the same, though.

“Rex and I haven’t really talked about it. I have no problem if Rex wants to call it. If we do it like we’ve done it in the past, my input will always be there,” he said. “It’s not really the call — it’s how you play the call. So who’s calling it really doesn’t matter to me — it’s how the guys out there on the field are performing the call is what matters the most.”
