The big question on the lips of Jets fans right now is this: Who starts in net on Tuesday against the Flyers?

Backup Al Montoya shut out the Ottawa Senators 1-0 on Saturday in place of the flu-ridden Ondrej Pavelec, who has also struggled lately.

Jets head coach Claude Noel said his decision could go down to the wire.

“You can’t deny the fact that Al Montoya had a real good game, played real well,” Noel said. “So we have to kind of wait and see medically as well (Monday) and energy-wise and stuff like that, how Pavelec’s feeling. He hasn’t had a lot of food that he’s been able to consume here, so we just have to let it play out here.

“That’ll probably end up being a game-time decision on the goaltending. But you have to feel pretty comfortable with what Al Montoya has done there. I certainly wouldn’t be afraid to put him back in.”
