"Wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery practiced on a limited basis Monday. Cotchery has missed the last two games because of a torn left groin muscle suffered at Cleveland on Nov. 14, but seemed optimistic about playing Monday at New England, although he didn't come out and say anything definitive.

"You've got to read between the lines on this one," Cotchery advised reporters. "Division game, [both teams] 9-2, a lot on the line.

"I definitely feel a lot better," said Cotchery, who said he ran some routes in practice and did some cutting. "Hopefully, I'll be out there on the field. I want to be out there with my teammates. These last five games are very crucial to our season. Everyone wants to be available."

Although the players were given three days off after the Jets' Thanksgiving night win over Cincinnati, Cotchery got treatment every day at the Jets' facility."
