"I've probably run that route 100 times in my career and I've probably only caught a couple of touchdowns off it," Shockey said afterward. "But one is in the Super Bowl."

The former Miami tight end made Super Bowl history here at Sun Life Stadium by putting New Orleans ahead by by five points with 5:42 to play in the game. A two-point conversion on a diving catch by Lance Moore, which was initially ruled an incompletion only to be overturned by a replay challenge, put New Orleans a full touchdown ahead – a lead the Saints wouldn't relinquish.

For Shockey, it was a sweet ending after a bitter experience in Super Bowl XLII, when he watched the Giants' victory from a luxury box after breaking his leg in Week 15 of the regular season.
