"The NFL commissioner's office might tremble in the presence of Brett Favre - but Jenn Sterger's father won't.

Leo Sterger, whose daughter allegedly received unwelcome genitalia photos from Favre, says he is "absolutely furious" that the NFL let the Vikings quarterback off with a $50,000 fine Wednesday after Favre did not fully cooperate with the league's two-month investigation into the matter.

"I better not meet that guy down a dark alley," the elder Sterger told Radar Online Thursday. "Their decision is a complete travesty to women, and they are just treating him this way because he is the NFL's golden boy."

Sterger's attorney, Joe Conway, said the NFL's decision on Favre was a "whitewash" and disputed the league's claim that it could not conclusively determine that the three-time NFL MVP had violated league policies on workplace conduct. Conway has not ruled out sexual harassment litigation or another claim against the league, the Jets or Favre (Favre was the Jets' quarterback and Sterger was a sideline reporter with the team's network when the incidents allegedly took place).

"There was ample evidence that pointed to his being the author and sender of those photographs," Conway told the Daily News Thursday. "I'm a former federal prosecutor, and I know what kind of evidence is needed. I think that standard was met, but the NFL claims there was insufficient evidence. It's beyond me how they could come to such a conclusion.""
