Jayson Werth remains on track to return roughly at the end of this month from the broken left wrist he suffered in early May. Werth has been shagging flies during batting practice regularly, and he could begin swinging a bat shortly after the all-star break, said Manager Davey Johnson.
Werth's target since he broke his wrist sliding for a fly ball has been late July or early August, and Johnson said that has not changed. Johnson said Werth looks to be in good shape running in the outfield, but he still feels aggravation when he tries to swing.
