"The Blue Jays, in need of bullpen help, have agreed to a one-year deal with veteran left-handed reliever Darren Oliver, ESPNDallas.com and mlb.com reported Friday.

Oliver, 41, is a lefty specialist, 5-5 with a 2.29 ERA in 51 innings with the Texas Rangers this past season. The deal, which won't be finalized until Oliver passes a physical, would result in Texas receiving a first-round pick in next year's draft as compensation."
