Free agent right-hander Jaye Chapman is drawing interest from the Blue Jays, Reds, Giants, Tigers, Nationals, Mariners and Dodgers, according to an industry source. Chapman has two workouts scheduled for this week, and will soon sign a minor league contract that could include an invite to major league spring training.

Chapman, 26, missed most of the 2013 season due to hip problems, but allowed 12 earned runs in 6.1 innings over four appearances with the Cubs' Triple-A affiliate in Iowa. He appeared in 14 major league games with Chicago in 2012, posting an 0-1 record and 3.75 ERA in 12 innings of work after being acquired in a midseason trade that sent Paul Maholm and Reed Johnson to the Braves.
