Javiez Vazquez has another "frustrating" outing in Florida Marlins' 9-5 loss to Arizona

"A favorite clubhouse perk Marlins players enjoy after a win is loud, blaring music. But the only tunes they heard after Saturday's game was from a concert on the field by rapper Ludacris.

In fact, the Marlins' post-game clubhouse has been pretty quiet this month. They've lost nine of 10 games in June, including a 9-5 loss Saturday to the Arizona Diamondbacks on a night they hit three home runs.

The problem was starting pitcher Javier Vazquez, who didn't make it out of the fourth inning, failing to continue any momentum the Marlins gained after snapping an eight-game losing streak Friday night.

"We were in the game up to that fourth inning. It got away in a hurry. Rough outing for him,' manager Edwin Rodriguez said.

Vazquez (3-6) has had several rough starts this year, but he never fizzled from good to bad as fast as he did Saturday. He cruised through the first three innings with six strikeouts, including three in the third inning. He even touched 94 mph on his fastball.

Then it all went wrong.

The Diamondbacks batted 10 times in the fourth inning and scored six runs.

The Marlins led 2-1 going into the fourth, on a solo homer by Chris Coghlan and a run-scoring triple from Logan Morrison. Arizona's Stephen Drew led off the fourth with a home run to tie the game.

Vazquez gave up two more hits then got No. 8 hitter Manny Parra to line out to second base for the second out. But he walked pitcher Ian Kennedy to load the bases and followed that up by walking lead-off hitter Ryan Roberts to force in a run.

Kelly Johnson then doubled on a fly ball that went over Coghlan's head and all three runners scored.

Justin Upton followed with a double, and that was it for Vazquez. It was the fifth time in 13 starts Vazquez has failed to pitch five innings."
