Striker set to ask to leave.

Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez is set to ask manager David Moyes to leave the club in January amid fears that he will lose his place in the Mexican national team and miss out on next summer’s World Cup, according to Sports Direct News.

The 25-year-old has started just one Premier League game for the club under David Moyes this season and he has recently hinted that he may have to ask for a move away from the club in order to get more playing time elsewhere if the Scotsman isn’t going to use him more often.

Moyes had insisted that Hernandez remained an important member of the squad, but still couldn’t break in from behind Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney in the pecking order.

The pair are set for showdown talks over the player’s future after the current international break, with the Mexican seeking assurances over his role within the team.
