Jason Taylor's happy return

"Jason Taylor played only his 14th game as a Jet on Sunday. But he helped them make history.

Taylor's tackle of running back Mewelde Moore for a 3-yard loss in the end zone with 2:38 left gave the Jets a safety and a five-point lead, and forced the Steelers to have to go for a touchdown on their final, unsuccessful drive. The tackle happened on an inside handoff to Moore from Ben Roethlisberger out of the shotgun.

The win was the Jets' first in franchise history in Pittsburgh, or in the state of Pennsylvania, for that matter. The Jets had been 0-7 in the Steel City, counting a Jan. 2005 playoff loss, and are 0-4 in Philadelphia.

Interestingly, Taylor was out of position, but in the right place.

The 14th-year veteran said, "I kind of took an educated guess. ... I had seen [that play] enough times and enough times [Sunday]. I improvised and made the play."

The Pittsburgh native said it's still a thrill to come back and play in his hometown."
