"Jason Taylor tried to add a calmer perspective to the invective coming from some corners of his New York Jets locker roon on Wednesday.
While CB Antonio Cromartie refused to back down from a profanity-laced tirade against New England Patriots QB Tom Brady and his perceived taunting, Taylor had a simple solution.
"If you keep him out of the end zone, you won't be offended by him," Taylor said.
Cromartie and Jets coach Rex Ryan have alleged that Brady went overboard in a 45-3 win against New York last month by pointing at his opponents' sideline after throwing TD passes.
Brady didn't deny that he's an "emotional" player but said he didn't remember pointing at the Jets' sideline.
Still, Taylor said that after all the bluster leading up to the teams' playoff game on Sunday, the Jets have one sure-fire way of keeping Brady from taunting them."
