"Lost in the continuing Dwight Howard saga on Monday was news that Jason Richardson, the incumbent starting shooting guard, has re-signed with the Magic.
The deal is believed to be four years, $25 million. There is no option in the contract for either the team or Richardson.
Richardson, 30, was expected to be one of the most sought-after shooting guards on the free-agent market.
"It was a tough decision," Richardson said at Monday's media day. "There were some other teams out there, but I thought this was the best fit.""
