"Dallas point guard Jason Kidd traded his Mavericks jersey and sneakers for a fishing hat and golf spikes this weekend at the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship at Lake Tahoe. But that didn't stop the 17-year NBA veteran from talking basketball.

Kidd told the Golf Channel he's hopeful he has three years left in his NBA career.

"I have a year on my deal then I'd like to get past 40 and then watch the young guys play," he said."
