"Raiders quarterback Jason Campbell has had three stingers on his shoulders this season, including two in the last two games, but head coach Tom Cable is not concerned.
"No, this was the least of any issue before it," Cable said Wednesday. "For him wanting to go back in the game tells me he was OK, and there's been no lingering effects from it."
Campbell left in the fourth quarter of the Raiders' 38-31 loss in Jacksonville with the injury - which affects the nerves in the neck and shoulder region, causing shooting pain - but returned after one series to lead the game-tying drive.
He got hit in the left shoulder two weeks ago in San Diego, then again on Sunday on a helmet-to-helmet hit by Jacksonville cornerback Will Middleton, who was fined $5,000 by the NFL on Wednesday.
After the game, Campbell said he had a headache as well as the stinger, but added that he was feeling better and would be ready for Sunday's game when Denver (3-10) visits the Raiders (6-7).
"Uh, other than (the stinger), my body is fine," said Campbell, who is 31-for-46 for 441 yards and three touchdowns over the last two weeks. "It's just something that's aggravating, but at this time of the season, you just have to push through."
Has the stinger gotten better since Sunday?
"I can't talk about," he said.
Not exactly the answer you would expect from a player not on Cable's injury list. But Campbell and the Raiders have a history this year of not being on the same page with injuries."
