"Lost in the shuffle of the most important elbow in the history of Northeast Ohio sports and the inconsistent play of point guard Mo Williams is the struggle that Antawn Jamison had in the first two games of the Eastern Conference semifinals.
Emphasis on ''had.''
Jamison who'd taken just 17 shots and averaged 11.5 points, well below his season average, came through with 20 points and 12 rebounds in the Cavs' 124-95 win over the Boston Celtics at the TD Garden on Friday night.
Jamison said he worked to change what had been going wrong for him on the offensive end of the court by the time the third game rolled around.
''Something I did tonight that I didn't do in the first two games is I tried to make a move,'' he said.
Jamison attacked the basket more, and it showed.
But he also has the job of guarding Celtics power forward Kevin Garnett, which is no small task.
Garnett scored 19 points, but most came on jump shots and Jamison successfully limited his effectiveness inside, holding him to just four rebounds.
He knows that he's not going to stop Garnett, but Friday, Jamison made him work."
