The injury-riddled Montreal Canadiens may soon be getting some relief as defenceman Greg Pateryn resumed skating on Tuesday.

Pateryn suffered a fractured ankle after blocking a shot during a game on Dec. 6 against the St. Louis Blues. His initial prognosis determined that he will miss up to eight weeks, which would put him pace to return at the beginning of February.

There is no timetable for his return, yet.
