When news broke several weeks ago of former first overall pick JaMarcus Russell's plan to attempt an NFL comeback, most people used it as a reason to revisit the same "biggest ever" draft bust barbs that dogged him since his exit from the league after just three seasons.

"People would say I didn't love the game, but that pisses me off. People don't know the real you, but I want people to know the real me and see what I can do," the former Raiders quarterback told Yahoo! Sports at the time. "People are always saying that I'm a bust. I want show them I'm not. I'm committed to this now."
