Texas A&M leading scorer Jamal Jones announced that he will transfer, posting an explanation through his personal Twitter account on Tuesday night.

“First off, I wanted to thank A&M, the true fans and my former teammates for their support throughout the year,” he tweeted. “Those things did not make me decide to leave. Y’all were awesome. I’m onto the next opportunity, and I wish everyone in Aggieland the best of luck. I thank God for the blessing thus far and what he has in store for the future.”

The 6-foot-8 junior forward was the only Aggie to average double figures last season at 13.4 points per game.
