"Lions running back Jahvid Best was not allowed to speak with reporters after he suffered the third concussion of his playing career Sunday.

Best walked through the locker room briefly Wednesday and said little after missing practice.

"As of right now I'm just taking it day by day," he said.

Best is part of the Lions' trio of concussed players who missed practice Wednesday. Tight end Tony Scheffler missed Sunday's game and declined to speak with reporters. Only linebacker Justin Durant, who has missed the past three games, shed light on his second career concussion and said he was encouraged by his progress."
