"The players are tired of hearing about the Jaguars' elephant in the room. It frustrates them that head coach Jack Del Rio bears the brunt of criticism for a 1-5 start, that his job security is at an all-time low.
Nobody takes more exception than middle linebacker Paul Posluszny, who plays the same position Del Rio occupied for 11 NFL seasons.
"When people say, 'Aw, his job is on the line' and stuff like that, I disagree because [Del Rio] is doing a great job of preparing us and being the leader of this team," Posluszny said. "It's the players' fault that we're in this situation to begin with, not the head coach or anybody else. As a player, you want to take the heat off your man because we're the ones that caused it.""
