Jaguars defensive end Chris Clemons didn’t waste any time getting involved today during the team’s OTA workout.
Clemons was the only player absent from practicing or watching last week, but reported to the stadium this morning for the voluntary session.
Defensive line coach Todd Wash said Clemons arrived in good physical condition.
“He went through the whole two-minute and wasn’t even wheezing,” Wash said. “We knew that about Clem – he’s definitely a pro and even if he didn’t ever show up [this month], he would have come to training camp in great shape.”
Wash said Clemons’ presence was “very important,” to the Jaguars’ defensive line group, “and he knows that, too.”
“He’s familiar with the package so that helps – we could get him in there right away,” Wash said.
Wash said Clemons is here for the duration of OTAs and the mandatory mini-camp, which wraps up June 19.
