"This Trent Edwards is a little bit different.

A little more guarded. A little less trusting.

He was in the locker room in Buffalo with his good friend, fellow Buffalo quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, when the Bills' staffer in charge of letting players know they'd been cut told Edwards the coach needed to see him. He and Fitzpatrick had been getting ready to work out together. Instead, Edwards returned to pack up.

"It's not a situation you can prepare for, but just be tough and realize it's part of the game and move on," Edwards said

Moving on is exactly what Edwards has been doing through the whirlwind the last two weeks have been for him. Edwards went from starter to released in just eight days in Buffalo after spending three years with the franchise that drafted him in the third round in 2007. The Jaguars claimed him off waivers and he set to work, cramming to learn a foreign offense as quickly as possible. Should quarterback David Garrard struggle, the Jaguars would call on Edwards."
