South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney was pulled over and ticketed on Saturday night after driving 110 mph in a 70-mph zone.

According to Brendan Clark of WCBD-TV News in Charleston, the junior was traveling on Interstate 77 in Lancaster County, S.C. Per the report, he could have been arrested for reckless driving, but he was cooperative with law enforcement and was only issued a ticket.

Clowney entered the 2013 season as the surefire No. 1 pick in next year's NFL draft, and he still very well may be, but it has been hard to live up to the hype.

His production—three sacks and 10.5 tackles for loss—has been underwhelming. There were talks about his work ethic after he sat out of an October game against Kentucky with an injury, of which some questioned the legitimacy.
