"The way Brandon Jacobs figures it, Giants fans are being counter-productive when they boo the home team.

"We try to work hard and overcome adversity and they make it even harder for us to overcome our adversity when they do things like that,'' Jacobs said yesterday on WFAN. "As a player we don't want to hear that.''

Jacobs ripped into the fans at MetLife Stadium following the Giants' 17-10 loss to the Eagles after he managed to gain only 21 yards on 12 rushing attempts. The fans booed the Giants' offense on more than one occasion.

"The best thing they do here is boo,'' Jacobs said after the game."
