"After returning to form and making some big catches in the 34-24 win over Houston Thursday night, Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson said he's "very happy" with the Eagles and dismissed a report that said he's causing distractions at team headquarters in protest of his contract.
Jackson, the Pro Bowl wideout, caught three passes for 84 yards against the Texans, including a 33-yard reception deep in Texans territory that set up the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter, just four days after being admonished by coach Andy Reid in the locker room following Sunday's loss to Chicago.
After the Texans win, Jackson said he had moved on from the Chicago postgame fireworks and looked forward to his "bright future" with the Eagles.
"I'm happy to be here," he said. "Never once was I unhappy and I know I have a bright future, so I'll leave it at that."
Jackson shrugged off a Wednesday published report citing anonymous sources that claimed his contract situation and production drop-off had become such a source of discontent for the wideout and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, that he had become disgruntled with the organization.
The report carried no merit, a team source said Wednesday night.
"It's funny. Very interesting the comments and what people say about me being unhappy and whatever the case may be," said Jackson, who turned 24 a day earlier. "For me, I'm the happiest person doing it. I have a bright future. Right now might not be so great, but as far as the picture down the road, it'll be great for me."
As for the texting with Rosenhaus, Jackson said, "That don't make no sense to me honestly.
"For somebody to say that, it's none of their business who I'm texting or who I'm talking to. That's my agent. So if I'm talking to him, I'm talking to him. What's the big deal? That's just crazy. I don't feed into none of that madness about any of that stuff."
As for those anonymous quotes, Jackson was asked if they could have come from teammates."
